Daze Summit Festival: My First Show in New York – AntTheVillain Blog

This one's been a long time coming. October 21st, I'm playing my first show in New York. I'm on the Mo Dubb Stage for the Fall Edition of Daze Summit Festival, Day 2, at District 385 in Ridgewood, Queens, right on the Brooklyn line. 7 PM to midnight, 21+. Daze Summit has been building this scene since 2016, started by Scott Morris as a way to actually connect independent artists with the industry instead of just throwing a show. Ten years in, it's raised over $26,000 for high school scholarships along the way, and real names have come through it: Coi Leray, Capella Grey, DJ Drewski, plus people from Def Jam, Empire, and Roc Nation. This Fall Edition runs five days across multiple stages in Brooklyn and Queens. Day 1 is at Starr Bar in Brooklyn, headlined by Vado. My night, Day 2, is the Mo Dubb Stage at District 385. Day 3 closes out at 1080 Broadway. That same week, the Knicks are raising a championship banner to the Garden rafters for the first time since 1973 and handing out rings the night before my set. New York is having a moment right now, and I get to be part of it. Eighteen shows in, and every single one has been West Coast or Arizona. Phoenix, LA, Vegas, San Diego, Tucson, Scottsdale, Mesa. New York has never been on the map until now. This isn't just another tour stop, it's the first time PHX/L.A. gets played live on a coast that's never heard it. New York built the blueprint for everything I do. Jay-Z, Nas, Big L, the whole Dipset movement, that's the music that made me want to rap in the first place. Getting to bring PHX/L.A. to the city that raised my favorite MCs is not lost on me. Shoutout to Daze Summit, MOR Bookings, and everybody behind this lineup for the pull up. This is exactly the kind of room I built PHX/L.A. to be played in. Tickets are on sale now through the official Mor Bookings page for the Mo Dubb Stage: [Get Tickets](https://www.morbookingsagency.com/event-details/mo-dubb-stage). Use that link, not the general festival site, so you land on the right stage. Admission at the door is $20, it's 21+, and the night runs 7 PM to midnight at District 385, 57-36 Myrtle Ave in Ridgewood, Queens. When you get to the door, say "AntTheVillain" so the promoter knows you came for me. Special guests include Mo Dubb, Lucky Harlem and Scott Morris, with more to be announced. If you're anywhere near NYC on October 21st, come through and say my name at the door.
